Die 1997 gegründete Freie Universität Bozen ist eine international ausgerichtete, mehrsprachige Universität (Deutsch, Italienisch, Englisch und Ladinisch).
Die fünf Fakultäten mit einem hohen Anteil von Lehrenden (35%) und Studierenden (17%) aus dem Ausland beschäftigen sich mit wirtschaftlichen, naturwissenschaftlich-technischen, informationstechnischen, pädagogischen, ästhetischen und sozialen Grundfragen der Gesellschaft. Etwa 4100 Studierende studieren in mehr als 30 Studienprogrammen und Lehrgängen.
Die Lehrangebote und Forschungsprojekte sind in internationale Netzwerke – wie beispielsweise das der Euregio-Universität mit den Universitäten Innsbruck und Trient – eingebunden und orientieren sich an hohen Qualitätsstandards.

Die FH Kärnten hat sich seit ihrem Bestehen zu einer einzigartigen Bildungsinstitution in Kärnten entwickelt. t2i – trasferimento tecnologico e innovazione s.c.a r.l.
t2i- technology transfer and innovation is the innovation agency promoted by the Chambers of commerce of Treviso, Verona and Venice (aka ‘Venezia Rovigo Delta Lagunare’) established in 2014 from the merging of activities, projects, personnel and facilities of two other entities: ‘Treviso Tecnologia’ and ‘Polesine Innovazione’. In 2016 also ‘Verona Innovazione’ joined t2i thus extending the services also in Verona district. It supports companies in defining and developing innovative pathways through the establishment of networks for technology transfer and the deployment of value-added services for industries and organisations also by means of co-funding programmes at local and european level.
t2i is a reliable and consolidated research partner whose work with an extensive network of local, national and international centres of excellence (such as the Fraunhofer Institutes in Germany) allows the creation of “tailor-made” multidisciplinary work groups to meet clients’ needs.
t2i is registered on the national research registry of the Italian Ministry of education and research and belongs to the university laboratories network as well as to the laboratories network of the Italian Chambers of Commerce system.

Our task, in particular, is to foster collaboration between researchers and companies and the industrial use of scientific and technological results produced by research. We assist young entrepreneurs, companies and researchers in the development of business ideas, innovative and high-tech, through the search for partners and funding, the start-up of new businesses, incubation and settlement at our reality.
Today our services are oriented towards some of the main strategic sectors for the economy and the regional research system (ICT, Additive Manufacturing, Metallurgy and Surface and Advanced Materials Technology, Energy and the Environment, Biotechnologies) but we also look abroad, more and more, through participation in European projects and other initiatives that favor the internationalization of companies and Friulian talent.
